Software Testing Company India

July 21, 2023Sheetal Malgaonkar

Software testing companies in India and across the globe generally focus on two major types of testing: manual testing and automated testing.

Manual testing largely involves a tester interacting directly with the application and carefully observing the results. It also lets the tester explore the application in an unstructured way, alongside scripted test cases. Generally, the more time a tester spends actually using a feature, the higher the chances of catching real, user-facing bugs.

Automated testing works differently. One of its biggest advantages is the ability to run automation against code that changes frequently, to catch regressions quickly and reliably. It also lets teams run the same tests repeatedly across standard scenarios.

Most software testing companies in India apply both approaches, further breaking testing down into categories such as white-box and black-box testing depending on the requirements at hand. Understanding this distinction matters, since the right testing approach depends on the nature and complexity of the software being built.
